Head Chef - Ciaran Faherty
Ciaran Faherty is our award-winning, marathon running chef. Coming from Galway, Ireland Ciaran trained at the K Club and previously 1 Michelin starred Byerly Turk restaurant where he worked alongside some of the country’s best chefs. Ciaran migrated to Australia before coming to NZ, winning the NSW Chef’s Table Gold Award in Sydney for 2 consecutive years. Arriving in Auckland in 2014, he was as head chef at TriBeca in Parnell before moving on to executive chef at Mount Eden Hospitality Group. He took up marathon running in his spare time, something he proved as talented at as his cooking(Rotorua, Christchurch, Wellington and Taranaki Mountain to Surf, to name a few of his marathon wins). His dedication, professionalism and attention to detail shine through in his food too.He moved to Queenstown with his new wife Denise in 2019 and is developing a loyal following at The Garnet Room.

Hosted by Sally McChesney, WSET Level 3 Certificate & Commandeur of the Confrériedes Chevaliers du Tastevin.Sally is known for her intimate knowledge of the complexities, flavours & regional aspects of the wines she presents. She will discuss the history of each wine & it's origins in a relaxed & friendly atmosphere. Sally has a particular fascination for the wines of Burgundy.
There is plenty of free parking on-site after 5pm, though taxis and shuttles are recommended to enable your full enjoyment of a Garnet Room Experience. During the day, the parking within the Shotover Ridge Business Park is limited to 90 minutes.
There is no charge but minimum spends apply during the day, and for functions after 5pm there is a minimum food and beverage charge of $1200.
9am - 10pm, Monday to Saturday on a pre-booked basis (subject to availability)
